The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants in the state. The governor made the announcement while commissioning the new Labour House in Edo state today April 29. According to him, the new wage comes into effect on May 1st, 2024. He also announced that the new Labour house will be named after a former governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole.

Late Ibrahim served as governor of Yobe State from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He also served as a senator for two terms representing the Yobe East Senatorial District. The Supreme court today January 12 affirmed the election of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as governor of Lagos state. In March 2023, INEC declared Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the Lagos state governorship election.
