Saudi to allow around 1,000 pilgrims to perform Hajj

Saudi Arabia will allow around 1,000 pilgrims to perform Hajj this year, a minister said Tuesday, June 23.   Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was announced that this year’s Hajj would be scaled back. Saudi Arabia bars international pilgrims for Hajj due to Coronavirus

FG discharges Saudi Arabia returnees

The 292 Saudi Arabia returnees who were isolated in a hotel in Abuja have been discharged.    The returnees who were isolated for 15 days, all tested negative for the Coronavirus. They were discharged on Wednesday morning, June 3, and it was gathered that most of them are already on their way to Lagos.  

292 Nigerians evacuated from Saudi Arabia arrive Nigeria

Two hundred and ninety-two Nigerians evacuated from Saudi Arabia due to the Coronavirus pandemic have arrived in Nigeria.   The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama, who disclosed this on Twitter on Wednesday morning, said the evacuees were mostly women and children.   We received 292 evacuees stranded in Saudi Arabia yesterday. The Saudi Government transported them to Abuja. A large number are nursing mothers and children and they are all comfortably settled in hotels under the mandatory 14 days
