NCAA approves reopening of Asaba Airport for operations

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has approved the re-opening of the Asaba International Airport in Delta State for commercial operations.   This came after some officials of the agency inspected the airport last week, to ascertain the level of preparedness for its re-opening pursuant to the Federal Government’s lifting of the ban on local air travel.   According to the NCAA, the Asaba International Airport had satisfactorily fulfilled the requirements of the COVID-19 restart guidelines and protocols and therefore had been granted

Domestic and International flights remain suspended- NCAA

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority NCAA says Domestic and International flights in the country remain suspended.   The flights were banned as part of measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus in Nigeria.   Recall that on June 1, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 advised the aviation authorities to come up with new guidelines for the operations of domestic flights on or before June 21. Many Nigerians had taken it to mean that domestic flights will resume operation on June 21.

NCAA reveals the five airports to be reopened for operations by June 21

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has said that only five airports will be allowed to open for domestic flights effective from June 21, 2020.   A circular signed by the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Flight crew members to wear PPEs, undergo COVID19 tests every 14 days- NCAA issues post COVID-19 rules for international flights

As the Federal government prepares for the gradual reopening of the economy, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued post COVID-19 protocols for Nigerian based crew operating international flights.
