A yet to be identified young man committed suicide in Rumde Baru-Jimeta, Yola North local government area of Adamawa State on Saturday, October 21. According to reports, residents of the area found the lifeless body dangling on a branch of a tree. The reason for his action is yet unknown. Some residents say they had performed Morning Prayer (Fajr Prayer) today inside a mosque with the deceased before he took his life.

President Buhari today observed Jumat prayers at the mosque in the presidential villa. This will be the first Juma’at prayer at the statehouse mosque since the ban on religious gathering was lifted by the Presidential Taskforce on COVID19 on June 1. Joining him at the service were EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami, and others.
