Police aircraft crashes in eastern Kenya (photos)

A light Kenyan police aircraft carrying a security team to a meeting in Marsabit, crash-landed in the eastern region of Meru in the early hours of Saturday June 13.    The Eastern Regional commissioner and his security team were reportedly heading for a joint security meeting with North Eastern counterparts when the incident occurred.  Police spokesman Charles Owino said the chopper had six occupants, 2 pilots and 4 passengers-all members of Eastern Security committee.     The injured passengers have been admitted at Meru Level 5 hospital. Police

Ogun records new Coronavirus death

The Ogun state government has confirmed the death of another Coronavirus patient in the state.    In a tweet shared on the official Twitter handle of the state government, it was also revealed that 21 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded across 3 local government areas on June 12.    The new death brings the total number of fatalities recorded in the state to 14. There are currently 316 active cases in state which has so far discharged 214 patients.
