Lagos state government seals up event center where fuel was distributed as souvenir as CP orders arrest of those involved (photos)

Kano police arrest suspected fuel suppliers to bandits

Operatives of Kano State Police Command have arrested two suspected fuel suppliers to bandits in Katsina State.   The suspects are Musbahu Rabi’u and Jamilu Abdullahi, driver of the vehicle, J5 conveying the product.    Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, October 19, said the suspects were intercepted based on tip off while transporting the product concealed inside empty sack of sugar to the bandits in Jibia area of Katsina State.

Suspected pipeline vandal dies, his accomplices arrested while siphoning fuel from a burst pipeline in Niger state (photo)

A suspected pipeline vandal, Abu Shehu, 28, has died while trying to siphon fuel from a vandalized NNPC pipeline in Gwacipe village in Gurara local government area in Niger state.   In a statement released today July 7, the spokesperson of the state police command, Wasiu Abiodun, said while acting on credible information, police operatives attached to G/Babangida division, intercepted Abu who was suspected to have vandalized one of the NNPC pipeline in the village and was scooping PMS products from a dugout pit.
