Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer of late Sani Abacha, was on BBC Hausa recently, where he said that the former Military dictator and some Nigerian leaders took the decision to stash money in different foreign accounts so that Nigerians wouldn’t suffer in future.   According to Al-Mustapha, during the Abacha regime, there were indications that Nigeria was to be sanctioned. Tragedy averted as gas tank detaches from a moving truck and falls off the bridge in Ijora (photos)

An accident that could have claimed the lives of many people occurred along the Ijora under the bridge this afternoon June 12.   A gas tank attached to a truck detached itself and fell off the bridge. Thankfully, no one was under the bridge when it landed.   Men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority LASTMA have since arrived at the scene to manage the traffic resulting from the accident. Efforts are being made to remove the gas tank from the road.
