Gully erosion has claimed the life of a yet-to-be-identified victim at Alibuoba quarters, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. The lifeless body of the victim was seen lying deep down in the gully measuring over 50 feet deep and 30 feet wide along the Universal Basic Education (UBE) Road, beside Agbor Technical college on Saturday. A gully erosion caused by a heavy downpour has led to the collapse of buildings at Obeleagu St. and Nkissi Aroli axis of Onitsha North Local Government Area of Anambra. The erosion site where the buildings including a school and church collapsed in on Thursday May 14, was visited by Minister of State for Environment, Mrs Sharon Ikeazor accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr Nkem Okeke in October 2019.
