Abia Commissioner for Environment, Solomon Ogunji, has died. A statement from the state Commissioner for Information, John Okiyi-Kalu, said Ogunji died in the early hours of today Saturday May 23 in Aba at the Abia State Teaching Hospital. According to Okiyi-Kalu, Ogunji died after a brief illness associated with high blood pressure. Mr Kehinde Ayoola, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Oyo state, has died. He was 55 years old. Ayoola fell ill two weeks ago and was on admission at a private hospital around Iyaganku, Ibadan where he died today May 14. The Oyo-born politician represented Oyo East state constituency between 1999 and 2003. The cause of his death is not yet disclosed. The state governor, Seyi Makinde, has taken to his Twitter handle to mourn the former Commissioner. …
