Lawyer attends Supreme court proceedings in traditional worshipper’s regalia after apex court approved use of hijab in schools and public places

A Nigerian lawyer caused a stir at the Supreme court today June 23, when he attended proceedings in the court in his traditional worshipper’s regalia.   According to him, he decided to dress that way following the judgment of the Supreme Court delivered on June 17, that allows Nigerians express their mode of worship, which includes the use of hijab in schools and public places.   See more photos of the lawyer below…    

New COVID-19 medicine, Dexamethasone has not been approved in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that the new COVID-19 drug, Dexamethasone has not been approved for use in the treatment of patients with the viral disease in Nigeria.   The drug, which scientists in the United Kingdom have hailed as a major breakthrough, is a widely used low-dose steroid which has been found to considerably reduce the risk of patients dying from COVID-19.   The NCDC in a series of Tweets posted on Tuesday night, June 16 said

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of the Christ Embassy church has taken a swipe at church leaders who approved the new guidelines for churches to open for worship after the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 lifted the ban on religious gatherings on Monday, June 1.
