Mrs Olufunmi Ogunmola (not real name), a middle-aged woman, was beaten to a pulp by some attendants of Mobil Petrol Station in Akure, the Ondo State capital. Ogunmola, a businesswoman, was returning home from a church programme alongside her sister simply identified as Iyabo, when they were attacked by the petrol station attendants. SaharaReporters gathered that the offence of the duo was parking in front of the petrol station without permission. A reliable source, who witnessed the assault, narrated the incident to our correspondent. “The scene today was very terrible at the Mobil Petrol Station along Oba Ile road. The woman in question only parked her vehicle at the front the filling station. By the time she returned to pick up her vehicle, the attendant at the station challenged her for parking without any permission,” he said. “She explained and pleaded, but the attendant refused to listen to her excuse and in the process, the other attendants joined and demanded to know what happened.
