Four-month-old Coronavirus patient discharged in Kaduna | Jehu's Blog
A 4-month-old child who tested positive for Coronavirus in Kaduna state has been discharged after recovering from the disease. The baby was one of the 20 COVID-19 cases that was recorded in the state on May 15. Kaduna state Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Mohammed Baloni made the announcement on Saturday May 30, and also disclosed that the state has recorded 232 cases of Coronavirus and have discharged 149 patients. 7 deaths have been recorded in the state. Baloni who disclosed that most of the cases either have a history of interstate travel or are contacts of infected persons, added that the number of Coronavirus cases in the state is expected to rise due to increased testing. The statement reads in part; “The state has tested almost 2000 samples, but case numbers are likely to rise further as more tests are conducted in more places. “Covid-19 cases have been recorded in 33 wards in nine local government areas of the state: Chikun, Giwa, Igabi, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Makarfi, Sabon-Gari, Soba and Zaria.
