Ex-international, Victor ANICHEBE, says he’s not desperate to return to club football, despite being out for over a year.
ANICHEBE had a long spell in England playing for Everton, West Brom and Sunderland in the English Premier League before signing for China’s Beijing Enterprise, where he played 11 games, scoring twice.
“I wouldn’t say I am desperate for a club, because I have options. I had an offer from Australia but rejected it because of the distance,” he wrote on his Instagram status.
The Lagos-born striker, who has been without a club since January 2018, added, “It is very frustrating, a lot of the good teams want young players they can develop and then sell on. That’s why you see many guys on the free now.
“I have to be realistic and honest with myself, I haven’t played for a while so will need to go to a lower club first to prove my fitness.”
