A brave woman who was born with a severe facial deformity has got married telling guests: ‘There is a happy ending.’
Cody Hall’s, now 25, severe birthmark, thought to be a haemangioma, was so large it distorted
the left side of her face and doctors told her distraught family there was nothing they could do
to remedy it until she was six years old.
After raising £230,000 for treatment in the US, Ms Hall, from Corby, Northamptonshire,
had her first of 18 surgeries at just one-year-old, before suffering through numerous nose
reconstructions and facelifts over 14 years.
Ms Hall, who endured years of cruel stares and comments from strangers over her disfigurement,
met her husband Lewis Holt, 27, eight years ago and they became engaged last year.
She said: ‘It was an emotional day and there were some tears, but only tears of joy.
‘I just want to show people that there is a happy ending.’
